Tenses

1. PRESENT TENSE
1.1 Simple Present Tense
+
Subject + Verb 1 + Object
-
Subject + Don’t / Doesn’t + Verb 1 + Object
?
Do / Does + Subject + Verb 1 + Object?

Exam ple :
Positif         :  She was sick yesterday
Negatif        : She was not sick yesterday
Question     : Why she was sick yesterday?

1.2 Present Continuous Tense
+
Subject + To be 1 + (Verb + ing) + Object
-
Subject + To be 1 + Not + (Verb + ing) + Object
?
To be 1  + Subject + (Verb + ing) + Object ?

Example :
Positif         : She is cooking in the kitchen.
Negatif        : She is not cooking in the kitchen
Question     : is she cooking in the kitchen?

2. PAST TENSE
2.1 Simple Past Tense
+
Subject + Verb 2 + Object
-
Subject + Did not (Didn’t) + Verb 1 + Object
?
Did + Subject + Verb 1 + Object ?

Example :
Positif         : They were student last year
Negatif        : They were not student last year.
Question     : They were not student last year ?


2.2 Past Continuous Tense 
+
Subject + To be 2 + (Verb + ing) + Object
-
Subject + To be 2 + Not + (Verb + ing) + Object
?
To be 2  + Subject + (Verb + ing) + Object ?

Example :
Positif         : We were joking in livingroom
Negatif        : We were not joking in livingroom
Question     : Were we joking in livingroom?

2.3 Past Perfect Tense

Subject + Had + Verb 3 + Object
-
Subject + Had + Not + Verb 3 + Object
?
Had + Subject + Verb 3 + Object?

Example :
Positif         : My parents had already eaten by the time I got home.
Negatif        : Sam had not left when we got there.
Question     : How long had you watched TV when I called my friend?

3. FUTURE TENSE
3.1 Simple Future Tense

Subject + Will + Verb 1 + Object
-
Subject + Will + Not + Verb 1 + Object
?
Will + Subject + Verb 1 + Object ?

Example :
Positif         : She will go to Paris tomorrow.
Negatif        : She will not go to Paris tomorrow.
Question     : When will she go to Paris?

3.2 Future Continuous Tense

Subject + Will + be + (Verb + ing) + Object
-
Subject + Will + Not + be + (Verb + ing) + Object
?
Will + Subject + (Verb + ing) + Object ?

Example :
Positif         : He will be talking for the business until ten o’clock.
Negatif        : Will she be playing tennis tomorrow?
Question     : What will you be doing at 10 pm tonight?

3.3 Future Perfect Tense

Subject + Will + Have + Verb 3 + Object
-
Subject + Will + Not + Have + Verb 3 + Object
?
Will + Subject + Have + Verb 3 + Object ?

Example :
Positif         : You will have finished the work, by the end of this month.
Negatif        : She will not have gone to home by 10 am.
Question     : Will you have finished your work by tomorrow?
